Last week I gave an example on how you can wear a cape without feeling like you are wearing a costume. Today I want to show you how to stand out wearing a cape. In order to make the cape your "It Piece," the basic concept is to make everything else form fitting. Then the shape from the cape takes center stage.
For this particular ensemble, I wanted to challenge the idea that capes are usually worn for more "going out" occasions. I created a sporty/casual look by using leggings and a drawstring knit top and a duffle type bag. I also added a strappy leather bracelet and pinstripe shades to complete the sporty vibe. And how can you go wrong with a clear heel bootie?
