Class Details

All classes will be held in my home studio in the Aliana Community.  Address will be provided once the payment is complete.

Introduction to Sewing (2 hour class) - $75.00

If you are completely new to sewing, I strongly suggest you take this class first before applying to the small group class. In this class, we will have a brief lecture on fabric identification and characteristics, how to take measurements, and how to read commercial patterns.  For the remainder of the class, we will sew one small project, either a zipper pouch or scrunchie.   All materials and sewing machines will be provided.

Small Group Sewing - $200 per month (2 hours per class | 4 classes total)
This is a small group sewing class with up to 6 students.  The small group classes will be divided into age groups and skill levels.  More classes will be added soon. We will work on a variety of projects which may include a scarf, headband, top, skirt, or a tote.

Private Sewing - $60.00 per hour (1.5 hour minimum)
This is a private one-on-one lesson for those who want my full undivided attention and without the distraction of other students.  I can guide and recommend projects to build up your skills or you can bring me ideas of what you would like to learn how to design and/or sew.  It is 100% customized to your needs.

For those who are more experienced, I can also teach draping and pattern making.  We can also work on your fashion illustrations and college applications for fashion design schools.

Please contact me to schedule private sewing lessons.

Perks:

All currently enrolled students will receive 25% off on orders from felinusfabrics.com and sumietachibana.com

If you bring your own sewing machine to the small group sewing class, your class fee will be discounted to $180.00.  (Introduction to sewing and private sewing classes are excluded from this offer.)

If you need help learning how to use your new sewing machine, bring it over, and I will help you learn the ropes for free!
