I've never been much of a bling bling jewelry girl, however I do appreciate and wear jewelry. This style of the day is dedicated to those who like unisex jewelry. So how can you wear a more rugged jewelry, such as this necklace, with a feminine touch? Here's how:
1. find a dress with structure with strong lines such as plaids or pinstripesIt's all about blending and balancing feminine with masculine pieces! What do you think?

One of my favorite ways to relax is watching tv shows, which who am I kidding, I get more excited from inspirations than actually relax! So for this week, I am definitely inspired by two shows I love, "The Walking Dead" and "Game of Thrones." My best seller is the post apocalyptic neckerchief. If zombies from the walking dead need a stylish accessory, here it is! The top is a leather tunic style piece which is an awesome wearable inspiration from the Game of Thrones show. Because the top half has so many textures and details, keep it simple and clean on the bottom. So I've added a pair of beautiful a-line shorts with hosiery that has a vertical line to give length to the look and finish it off with some killer boots.
Buy your neckerchief now! (only 3 left)

Today's look is inspired by my birthday celebration! If there is any time to dress up, it's definitely on birthdays. For this look, I've put together a great variety of black textured pieces, my specialty! Start the look off with a textured oversized scarflette with a high waisted mesh skirt. The accessories all have interesting textures that compliment the wears. The earrings are razor sharp assymmetrical triangles full of bling. The bracelet and the boots have an armor-like strong feel. And finally the clutch is a bonus with interesting ringlet textures.
Shop here for the oversized scarflette. Please contact us for the price on the high waisted skirt.

For over 100 years, professional work attire have always included blouses. These days, the work environment has changed quite a bit and become more relaxed. Today's style of the day is a fusion of the traditional and modern work attire. Try a fitted sweater with classic black pants as your base. Then accessories with a Sumie Tachibana original, oversized scarflette and a textured briefcase. Finish the look with an added splash of color with some killer red rocker heels.

]]>Thank you everyone so much for participating in the questionnaire. Your responses are invaluable to improving the Tachibana brand. One of the most interesting facts I learned was that half of you preferred to shop online and the other half preferred to shop in a physical store!
Have a wonderful week!

Plaids are a classic for the fall season. So dress out the adult version of your school uniform days or play the role a sophisticated librarian. You'll be sure to turn head either way!

This week I worked on a conceptual shelf top inspired by a dream. As I completed the project, it reminded me more and more of European armour, a bonus.
This piece required 20 pattern pieces, over 80 cut pieces (some in between the outer and inner layers), and hours of good music!
The materials are:
1. Italian metallic brocade, Italian silk duchess satin, and silk trim

For the longest time, I’ve been wearing skinny jeans with a variety of tops and my neck accessories during any kind of business meeting. It’s easy chic!
However sometimes , more often than not these days, I’ve been enjoying looser bottoms and going more for the comfortable chic. So here is an inspiration on how you can wear something not so form fitting and still look super stylish! And don’t forget to wear a scarflette by yours truly. You can never have enough neck accessories especially when you work all day indoors. Buildings have too strong AC systems, don’t you think?!

Men of Los Angeles, winter is just around the corner! With temperatures ranging from low 50’s to mid 70’s, you may not feel the need for a parka, but you’ll definitely need something for the cool, breezy days. Avoid hiding your fashion sense in sweatshirts, oversized jackets, and mainstream scarves. Spice up your look with genuine leather jackets and suede boots to keep you warm through the chilly days. But don’t stop there. Add a touch of “rock" with the Peppered Spiked Neckerchief by Sumie Tachibana!
This neckerchief will guarantee to others that you are a man that knows how to dress while still keeping you stylishly warm. The peppered virgin wool gives a masculine sophistication and the black wool nylon blend lining rests smoothly against your neck. Nine metal spikes line the edge of this neckerchief and accentuate your rebel-like, “stand off” appeal. Wearing this accessory is quite easy too! Just attach the hand-sewn snaps around your neck, and you’re ready to go!
Don’t get caught without the Peppered Spiked Neckerchief this Fall/Winter. Purchase this neckpiece or other neck accessories at SumieTachibana.com.

The year is 1944. L.L. Bean’s tote bag hit the nation and people everywhere are infatuated with the bag that is sturdy, easy to care for and easy to carry! Jump to the 21st century and you can’t go into a store without finding a tote bag. A heavy canvas is dyed, a print is pressed on, and millions of people are in love with the look. But if you want a bag that is all yours, sturdy, and fashionable, the Black and Grey Tote Bag by Sumie Tachibana is what you’re looking for.
Sumie Tachibana’s tote bag, unlike many other totes, features multiple fabrics – many that you would image on your body. This one in particular features a black cotton chenille. Imagine a corduroy-like blazer molded and sewn into a purse and you have Sumie Tachibana’s bag. But it doesn’t stop there. This bag gives a contrasting gray linen panel. Typically, you’d see this material as a Marc Jacobs’s quality handbag, never as an accent - at least not until now. To finish off this extra-ordinary tote, it is fully lined and strapped with thick nylon straps to ensure a long-lasting item. And did I mention this bag was one of a kind? Where else would you find a designer tote bag with quality fabrics that no one else has? Finding one is almost impossible but rest assure, you’ll have bag lovers jealous of your black and grey tote.
Whether you buy tote bags for the convenience of care and ease of carrying like our 1940’s travellers or you buy them for the design, you can’t pass up this one of a kind-designer tote by Sumie Tachibana. Get this bag or many more today on www.felinus.etsy.com.

Not many accessories in our fashion world can cross over the male and female market and equally appeal to both parties. However, Sumie Tachibana’s cross scarflette from the Fall/Winter 2013 Bound Collection can and will prove that theory wrong!
Many men strive to impress the ladies with their “tough guy" appeal but few know how to achieve it perfectly. Fellas, throw on your leather jacket, roll the cuff of your dark wash jeans, and put on your combats boots to bring out your James Dean alter ego. But don’t stop there! Tie this look together with Sumie Tachibana’s Cross Scarflette. Not only will this accessory keep you warm but this avant-garde style scarf will prove that you’re a man that knows how to accessorize, which is sure to attract the ladies.
On the other end of the spectrum, we have women who are constantly plucking, trimming, and doing anything possible to look their best. However, we don’t always want to put the extra effort into looking “top-notch." Take a break from your everyday look and relax in leggings paired with a gray cardigan, studded combat boots, and finished with the cross scarflette. This is great for the on-the-go college student who’s trying to stay warm on the walk through campus. Though this look may be simple, it will certainly bring you the edgy, rocker girl you desire.
Sumie Tachibana’s Cross Scarflette may cross over between the male and female market, but you may be asking yourself what’s so special. For starters, this scarflette is made from italian wool gauze, wool flannel, and completely lined with a cotton knit jersey. The typical idea of wool is an itchy fabric that you wouldn’t be caught dead in, but Sumie Tachibana’s wool scarflette is one you’ll want to be buried in! These fabrics are soft on your skin and made sure you’ll never want to remove this accessory. The Cross scarflette is also finished with gun snap closures that allows for multiple looks that appeals to both sexes.
Whether you’re buying this for yourself or for someone else, (regardless of their gender!), be the first to get this look and many more at Church Boutique located in West Hollywood and SumieTachibana.com this fall!
